We at Sunset Computing believe that the current method of tech support is inherently flawed. With the exception a few companies, most tech support currently consists of calling someone up on the phone and trying to have them talk you through it or unplugging your machine and bringing it to a store somewhere.

The problem with the phone tech support is that unless you are near or at the computer literacy level of the tech support representative, you will be lost very easily. Now, the issue with taking your computer somewhere is that it means you have to unplug everything, which is difficult for most people because of where they put their computer in the house. In addition, you lose your computer for a few days at the least, maybe weeks, and when you get it back, it may not even be fixed.

Instead, what we offer is at home tech support. We will drive to your house and work on your computer there. When we leave, you'll still have your computer. Only in very rare cases has it been necessary for us to take the computer with us to fix elsewhere.
